Congratulations to Sister Amanda Tasse for her 3D-animated USC Thesis film, "The Reality Clock", which has been selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for their 2012 Student Academy Awards.
The official presentation ceremony for the 2012 Student Academy Awards will take place at 6pm on Saturday, June 9th, at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theater, in Beverly Hills.
Admission is free, but advance tickets are required. They will have an over-capacity audience, so early arrival is recommended. Doors open at 5pm.
The winners in all categories (animation, documentary, narrative, alternative, etc.) have been posted on the Academy's website, although the final placement of the three top winners in each category will not be announced until the actual presentation.
Amanda Tasse's "The Reality Clock" is the sole winner in the Alternative category, so her stereoscopic short will be the Gold winner.
Scenes from all the films will be shown, and first-place Gold winners will screen in their entirety.

Wish I could be there! I'd love the opportunity to meet Amanda sometime in the future. I saw "The Reality Clock" last year and loved it! Congratulations Amanda.
